The week off should be a blessing, given resent rains a lot of footy on the oval and a need to rest injuries the bye came at a perfect time. With only juniors playing some matches over the weekend the magpie army took the chance to take a break.
The Tanunda Football Club would like to extend our thanks to Tanunda Primary School and Faith Lutheran College for allowing us to train on there ovals whilst we work to remedy the surface at OB Park. We are working closely with council to not only get the ground in suitable condition for the rest of the season but to also insure that OB Park will be in spectacular form for the Grand Final in September. Thanks also to our members and players for there understanding.
The Tanunda U13 black boys dominated in an all round team effort scoring 2-8 to 0-4 in slippery and difficult conditions. The boys continued to impress with their willingness to run and handball with some excellent passages of play being put together. Jackson Docherty played a solid game and he was well supported by his team mates with every player doing their bit for the team. The boys are continuing to improve with every game and showing the right attitude at training with the positive results coming on game day. Keep up the good work lads.
So we resume against the bombers at Kapunda and what we hope will be a kick start for a good run into the finals. Never to take our copper mining friends lightly all teams will have to be switched on. Up coming events, July 26th red and rump night $50 a ticket, July 27th sportsmans night with Sam Newman all details on the website, $10 dollar teas this Thursday night at the Clubrooms all welcome from 6pm bar open, see you at the footy. GO YOU MAGPIES.
